Eligibility
- The automobile must be a private-passenger style vehicle considered collectible in nature—street rods, kit or replicars are not eligible. Open bodied and open wheeled automobiles, such as a T-bucket, are typically ineligible (with the sole exception being a factory-stock Plymouth Prowler).
- Each licensed driver listed in Part IV – Drivers on the Select application must have an automobile exclusively available for daily use besides the Select-insured automobile. All daily use automobiles must be no more than ten model years old. Please visit Reporting Drivers for relevant application language.
- The Select-insured automobile is not to be used for general transportation or commuting. Please carefully review our “Express Warranties and Limitations of Use” listed on the Select application. Plan warranties may also be viewed at Limited Pleasure Use.
- Eligible drivers must have at least nine years driving experience. Only one driving violation per person is allowed, with a maximum of two violations per household. Questionable driving records and driver exclusion forms may be accepted at the discretion of Leland West.
- The Select Automobile Insurance Policy is a “named driver” policy. Insurance coverage is in affect only when a “named driver” listed on your Select application and approved in writing by Leland West is driving the Select-insured automobile. Failure to report any drivers on your Select Automobile Insurance Policy is misrepresentation and will result in denial of any and all claims involving unreported drivers and policy cancellation.
- When not in use, the Select-insured automobile must be stored in a locked garage accessible only to the policy holder and immediate household members. In certain high-risk areas, a hidden transmitter alarm may be required for some high-value automobiles.
- Any modification to the Select-insured automobile, with the exception of restoration back to its original condition, is generally not acceptable. Complete details of modifications must be submitted with your completed application.
